CAREY TAYLOR, Owner & Lead Coordinator
Carey has been in the events' industry for over 20 years and has worked with corporate, government and private clients spanning both coasts.
She is happily married to her firefighter husband, Jimmy, and is a mother to six children - four boys and two girls - ranging in age from nine to 24. Her family is a real-life "Brady Bunch", each bringing three children to their blended family. They wed in a traditional Catholic ceremony and celebrated with a romantic and intimate backyard reception under the stars with their closest friends and family at Jimmy's childhood home..
Carey's strengths are thinking of the small details and approaching even the most chaotic situation with order and organization. She infuses classic lines and traditional elements into her design concepts in fresh and modern ways. She loves the intimate, warm and welcoming hospitality of southern culture. An avid traveler, she has visited over 20 states and six countries. Her international travels have helped to inform her eclectic design style.
When she's not planning an event or traveling, she enjoys spending time outdoors and doing activities focused on mind-body wellness. Her favorites are: hiking, camping and paddle boarding with her family, and teaching Pilates and Yoga classes.
An introvert at heart, Carey values developing deep personal relationships and having meaningful conversations. Many of her clients have become her lifelong friends..
Carey and her family have recently relocated to the Raleigh, NC area, where they are enjoying some of the perks of southern living - especially the warmer weather.

ZANNA CLAYTON, Event Assistant
Zanna has been with the MBE team for over two years, and brings a wealth of knowledge to the company. She is quick on her feet and a pro at handling the unexpected and last-minute issues that can sometimes develop during an event.
Her attention to detail and penchant for organization enable her to flawlessly manage a timeline and calmly handle even the most stressful of circumstances.
Zanna recently married her best friend, Dijon, in an elegant outdoor ceremony held at one of our region's beautiful historic venues. As a new bride, Zanna is a wonderful asset to the team, offering helpful tips and insight to couples planning their weddings. She's a pro at making suggestions which help our couples get the most value from their vendors.
She and her husband Dijon recently bought their first home together and have an adorable puppy which they love to spoil. Zanna enjoys traveling, especially to tropical locations.
Having quickly proven herself to be an excellent assistant, Zanna often takes on the role of day-of-event Manager, ensuring our clients have a seamless experience from the timeline's start to finish.
