It has been through personal experience - and trial/error - that I've discovered the importance of incorporating a personal-care routine which includes regular exercise and a clean diet.. Specifically, I have chosen holistic, mind/body practices which bring balance and peace to what can often be a chaotic and busy life.
As both a Wedding Planner and Certified Pilates Instructor, I encourage many of my brides to begin a Pilates practice as part of their wedding preparation schedule. Pilates has many benefits: it helps improve focus and reduce stress, center the mind, improve posture, build endurance, and tone the body. It can relieve aches and pains, increase mobility and fight fatigue.
While I've been an advocate of Pilates for over two decades, it's interesting to discover just how few people have actually tried these movements for themselves. Endorsed by many Chiropractors and Physical Therapists, Pilates is something to seriously consider as a way to either begin or improve upon your current wellness routine.
Recently, The Knot published an article in which they interviewed Brooke Siler, a Pilates industry icon. In the article, she explains how Pilates can help brides prepare for their big day.
Are you curious about how Pilates can benefit you? Whether you're planning a wedding or just want a way to boost your quality of life, get in touch with a qualified Pilates instructor to discover how to get started. If you live in southern Maryland, contact me! I'd love to talk about how I can help!
